Our Story

The journey of Karnataka Rehabilitation Centre (KRC) began in the heart of Mr. S.I. George in 1971, a man whose early dreams of becoming a pilot officer were dashed due to a hearing problem. Instead, guided by a higher purpose, he found himself at Bharath Electronics Bangalore and later leading the Association of the Deaf Bangalore. Encouraged by the MICO Christian Workers association, he embarked on a mission to train underprivileged children in technical skills, eventually gaining recognition for his work. Despite facing obstacles, he continued his mission, even leaving a secure job at BEL to establish his own multipurpose center in 1994, named KRC. His prayers for land or a building were answered when he met Mrs. Marianne Duteurtre, a fellow social worker from France, in 1998, who shared his vision and became a crucial supporter of KRC's founding.
